MOTHER’S DAY AT KAUMAKAPILI.
Whereas this coming Sunday, the 8th, is declared as the day to commemorate mothers, whether they have died or are here living.
Therefore, it will be commemorated at Kaumakapili Church at 11:00 on that day. Mother Mrs. Withington will be that one who talks about the full story and of the establishment of Mother’s Day, and it is remembered every year.
There are special songs that were prepared by the choir; Mrs Charles L. Hall and Miss Agnes Naiwi, will also have solo performances. The two are skilled Hawaiians—singers of their land of birth; be very proud, O Hawaiian lahui.
Princess Kawananakoa will be there, and the Mayor of our city, Hon. John W. Wilson and his wife as well.
Remember, all those who attend, please pin a white flower on your bosom, as a symbol of this day for mothers. The public is welcomed. Do come!
With appreciation,
S. K. KAMAIOPILI.
