Remembrances.
On the 22nd of May in the year 1824, King Liholiho and his attendants landed in Portsmouth, England. On the 26th [of May] of that same year, Kaumualii, the King of Kauai, died at Honolulu, and Lahaina is where he was buried.
On the 4th of May in the year 1825, the remains of Liholiho and Kamamalu landed at Lahaina aboard the British ship, the Blonde, Lord Byron [Haku Bairona] was the captain. He left on the 6th of that month.
On the 20th of May 1845 the Legislature opened for the first time under the Constitution of 1840.
