Married and passed on.—On the 19th of February, a black haole [haole eleele] who was naturalized [lived here until familiar? noho a kupa] in Hawaii; this was a haole who was familiar to us, that being G. W. Hyatt, was married to Pali wahine. On the following 20th, his better half sailed upon the Helene, and in the night of that day, she was taken by death as a companion of his in death. “It is God who joins and he who takes away,”  Let him be praised.
