Praise for Uilama Hoonaueueihe.—We saw in the English Government paper praise of the translation of the stories from English to Hawaiian of the man whose name is above. It is our desire to have our readers enjoy fine and proper moolelo.
[The English Government paper referred to here is the Hawaiian Gazette. It seems there are no online issues available from its beginning on 1/21/1865 to 4/15/1868! The translations referred to is “Anoai o na Aui!” by G. Willie and begins in the Kuokoa on 12/1/1866 and concluded on 12/15/1866. It appears to be a translation not of “Comedy of Errors” by Shakespeare, but from and adaptation of the play which appears in the 1807 children’s book, “Tales from Shakespeare,” by Mary and Charles Lamb.]
