Deaths which are pitied:—On Friday of last week, death was not lazy in its pursuit after some haole girls of this Town. The first was Mrs. Mary G. Maitland, the only daughter of Mika Kakai (A. J. Cartwright) of this Town. The second was the young daughter of R. Love, the baker. “Death is like a thief in the night,” and that saying is indeed true; there is no one who is skeptical about it.
